INSPIRED WALK

Géraldine Boublil adorns women in black shoes. Exploring the varieties and multiple depths of black, she has made this her signature and decided to give each season a black edition.

“I was captivated by the work of Soulages, how he manipulated black and the sensory richness of his paintings. This is when I started researching black materials. Black can be played on endlessly with the perception of materials and their finishes; blends are created in an artisan way to form unique pieces and reveal all the facets of a single shoe’s personality.”

A dialogue is built around the different fabrics in the collections, instantly taking on life and fullness because, after all, the silhouette is key and every detail gives it balance. The collections are given a twist with a spectrum of bright colours and prints, reminding us of the identity of black, which is a blend of the three main colours — blue, red and yellow — and opening a range of possibilities.

What is your signature touch?
The unexpected twist of the play on materials and details in the silhouette.
-

What are your sources of inspiration?
Art in all its forms, the emotion of a single moment and materials. Every fabric gives off an art-like feeling, and this emotion transports me through a story.
-

What is your favourite type of shoe?
Mules! Which is an unexpected choice! The cut reveals a woman’s foot with a sexy, feminine and modern touch.
-

What is your leitmotif?
I love shoes because of the personal and creative approach they take on. For me, the creation of Erin Adamson is a way of providing the most beautiful product made in Italy — the birthplace of shoes — and an accessible luxury at the fairest price.
